The 3-pin surface mounted device you see in the first picture, above the hole in the PCB, is a voltage regulator which allows the otherwise 3.3V device work fine with 5V VCC and bus lines. While the datasheet is not the worst engrish I've seen, it is pretty lacking. Undocumented features, fails to show something as simple as how the 5-byte temperature and humidity bits are arranged, says command 0xE1 is for initialization but doesn't say when to use it or how to set operating mode and what they are and so on. It's an annoyingly bad "datasheet" but luckily for me some other poor guy has wasted time figuring it out so I don't have to. Just frustrating when they're THAT lazy. شاهد المزيد
