It does what it is supposed to do. The setup is minimal. Take the time to adjust the lens focal point - you will get clearer images. It is about 600dpi so for the 3"x3" workspace, you should size your images to no more than 1800x1800 pixels. When you first open the software, it may be in Chinese. Click on the settings control and pick English. Expect to do all your image editing in another software package - I use Inkscape for all my vector work. It does raster images (back and forth, very slow, but does a pretty good job with photos), vector (much faster line drawings), outline (important for cutouts), and sketch (which I haven't found a use for). The only real controls are laser power (0-100%) and depth, which I think is cutting speed (0-100%). Until you know your materials, expect to do one engrave on a new material with pauses where you adjust the parameters. Take notes or write on the test material. There is a preview mode which outlines the cutting area with a low power continuously so you can place the target. This is different, by the way. the bottom is open so you can put it on any surface. I find the software stops communicating after most runs and I have to reboot the engraver and reconnect. Do a lot of reading on laser safety - both on eye protection and fumes. Overall, this is a great machine to start with.

nords Thanksfor the info - exactly what is needed to get it working.

This is a low cost logic analyzer that is perfectly suitable for the beginning electronics enthusiast. It is a clone of the CWAV USBee AX Pro and is perfectly supported by the excellent open-source PulseView software. Who could ask for more. I recommend this :)

Total length is about 3cm with a 1cm mouth. That size might be nice for backpacks but tents and tarps are asking a lot. They are well made - I don't think they will fall apart easily.
