The two halves kept springing apart so I put the part with the rotating heads onto my existing shaver and discarded the bottom part. I've now used the shaver 3 times and it seems to be as good as new. I'm going to order another one of these.

This was a very challenging but rewarding project. It took me 12 hours to assemble and calibrate this printer. A few things went wrong. 1. The Y-limit switch screws were too small and I had to buy some bigger ones (M3 size). 2. The X-motor screws were too long and I had to grind them down to 22mm. 3. The X-motor bracket is not like the one on the video - it requires 4 screws, not 3 and the belt is harder to install without that gap in the bracket. 4. The X-limit switch goes into a location different to the one shown in the video but it's not hard to work out where. A few extra warnings would have been useful like 1. Don't remove the paper from the bed - it's there to help the piece you are printing stick to the bed - I used blue painter's tape after realising my mistake. 2. Be careful when assembling the extruder or the spring might ping out and fly across your workshop (luckily I found it). 3. The screw that gets used at 4:36 in video 2 is the one you removed earlier and were told you would use it later. Took me a while to work that out. It was a bit disconcerting to have to use a mallet to knock the cross beams in as significant force was required. It seems that no damage was done as the printer is working well.

These are good quality screws but the box they came in was not. A few of the separating panels came out of their slots during transit. Consequently, the screws were all mixed together when they were delivered as the pictures show. It took me an hour to sort them out. Also, there are no M3 x 30mm screws as specified but there are some M3 x 6mm screws which weren't specified.

Wow! They took 10 weeks to arrive. I've forgotten why I ordered them. Oh well, we're still in Covid-19 lockdown so I'll have plenty of time to play with them. They look and feel like good quality and, bonus, each of them comes with a 5 wire dupont connector which wasn't mentioned in the description.

Looks good. Does the job. I tested it using a 30-60-90 set square. It measured 60 degrees as 59.7 degrees and 30 degrees as 30.4 degrees. That's good enough for me.

I did a simple test with a 9V battery. You have to connect the GND pin to the negative battery terminal and both the VCC and IN pins to the positive battery terminal to get a sound. That might be obvious to some but it wasn't to me. Anyway, all three passed the test.

I tested these with an Arduino and saw that the reaction to a flame/heat/CO2 is really good. It even reacted when I breathed on it. Looks like all systems go.

Turned it on. It heated up and melted solder. Not sure how accurate the temperature dial is though. Time will tell.
