After 2 months this showed up yesterday. I thought I was just going to put it in a box and use it later but on a whim I wanted to know if I could transplant my hubsan x4 107c. so I pulled out the flight controller and LEDs and replaced the power cable with micro jst 2.0 and wired in a micro jst 1.25 for fpv as well as adding micro jst 1.25 connectors for easy motor switching. I assembled the frame with 8.5x20 motors and 48mm 4-blade props. With a 550 mah battery and 15mm 25mW aio camera it's exactly 60g auw and operates for about 2:30. It moves around pretty quickly; much faster and more agile than tiny whoop or x-frame but has a noticeable wobble sometimes. This is with no securing of wires or zip ties on fc so some physical tuning might improve the flight. It's fun to fly, though. Definitely recommend.

This is for the newer model. I had to cut a hole for the charging port and it doesn't quite line up on the switches. But otherwise it's fine.

Outer shell is very nice but a little bulky. The foam is sufficient but cheap. I tossed the flimsy top mat because I have gimbal covers anyway.

my first gimbal so I can't compare to others. the movement is smooth but I have trouble keeping the camera center. after calibration it's always pointing 20-30 degrees off. I can kind of correct this by changing the angle limits in arducopter but it still never centers quite right. the instructions it came with were terrible. it seems to work as intended otherwise so I'm going to keep playing with it, maybe recalibrate the sensors

RabiDeemonbia yes you can control the movement of the gimbal using 3 pwm inputs, one for each axis

I was able to figure out the necessary board and libraries and got this working perfectly. It would be helpful if there was even a little documentation. Also a slightly larger device with built in wifi would be amazing.

RabiDeemonbia Use Arduino IDE to program. Set Arduino Leonardo as the board. Use Keyboard.h library to inject keystrokes and Mouse.h for mouse movement. I don't know about accessing pins, and the LED is hidden by the case so no using that unless you take it apart.

This is my first bf fc, and really my first scratch built drone. It was kind of rough to get it working. Out of box it was incompatible with my spektrum radio (even after binding, the mapping was really messed up). I had to update the fw on both fc and radio, but there were driver issues that needed to be solved to update the fc fw. Once that was dealt with I realized the motors were running backward despite following the wiring instructions correctly. There is a setting in bf to fix the timing difference so I didn't have to resolder but we'll see how well the motors work long term. It took a couple days of troubleshooting but I was eventually able to get my drone airborne for a few seconds. I'm going to need to tune PIDs to make it flyable. As a first attempt I can say making this fc work is difficult just because of how old it is and how little documentation is available, but it is possible.

Decent propellers. Smooth flight. Some propellers shatter on impact but I can usually bend these back once or twice.

It is heat shrink tubing. Good number and variety. Some kind of container would be nice but I understand it wasn't part of the description.

These are my first FPV goggles. I would say the picture quality is quite good and I'm probably being bottlenecked by the camera I'm using, although a larger screen would be nice. Haven't taken it outside yet but easy to use and feels comfortable. Very light but large enough to fit my large frame glasses (just barely). I do feel like one drop will probably crack the housing so I'm going to be careful with it. Overall I'm very satisfied with these goggles so far.
