Coops There is no "calibration" required. Every time you switch it on, you first must close the jaws... only if it does not show "zero", then you press the Zero" button. Normally the previous Zero setting is retained and will be OK, so no Zero'ing will be needed. However if it doesn't show zero then it's easy to press the button. The other reason to use this button is to make partial measurements - for example to check the *difference* between two measurements by pressing Zero after you take the first dimension, then measuring the second (display will show + or - difference).

milodecourcy with the original miter stop the stop arm folds over the pointer that aligns with the ruler scale covering half of the pointer. the new left miter stop's, stop arm folds in the opposite direction away from the pointer this makes viewing the pointer much easier as the ruler is closer to the operator and the view is unobstructed
