Dear Goodness I LOVE this RC truck. The steering is proportional-ish, no reason to upgrade it. Also, I'm surprised by the power this thing has. Seriously, this thing kicks. Finding out that this motor is a tiny 180 surprised me. This thing is faster than my C14 w/WPL 370 2-Speed at 2nd (fast) gear. This is also MUCH faster than my MN99s using a 260 motor. I mean, it's a 180 motor and this isn't only fast, but has torque too! It climbs as well as my other RC trucks and the suspension is very nice. I guess motor size doesn't matter. I guess if this was a real car the 180 motor in this would be like a really powerful 4-Cylinder Car with a Turbo-Charger, while the WPL 370 is like a V8 and the 260 is like a V6. Yeah, this 180 is smaller, but it's tuned so nice, it has power, and it's lighter than the 260, so it's quicker. Yeah, this is a great little RC truck. The optional tires are the best you can get really.

Looks good, now to get the rest of it. Oh, the tires are nice and soft. Softer than the ones that came with my RTR C24.

Nice RC truck. I tossed the motor, driveshafts and axles and used Portal Axles, a RedCat 370 motor and a Reduction Gear Transmission and metal drive shafts. Didn't have to cut too much, and the body and frame are very sturdy. The tires are WONDERFUL. Added my own tail lights, I wish they included tail lights.

Made the ZP-1001 sooo much better to drive. Not terrible to install and very nice.

Not the best for crawling, as the differential makes it rough. But as it is, it's fantastic.

Great Tires. I got two of them to use on 3 4X4 RC cars. Best deal on tires you can get. Yeah it's got Olive-Green rims, but should be easy to repaint.

It's a cute truck, not fast, can't climb, but it's fun to play with! Looks moddable, and I love the big bed, the remote fits right in there. This is RWD. It would be interesting if WPL makes FWD (front wheel drive) RC car. Model it after the old Honda CVCC or Toyota Corrola. A "realistic" FWD RC car would be awesome!

Looks like I got the wrong one. I wanted the "Buggy" but got the bright orange "Truggy". I was a little disappointed at first, but it's growing on me. I have a green version of the "Buggy" and this looks to be the same, maybe a bigger motor. So, consider this review as review for the Bright Orange one. Ok, once you get over the bright color, it grows on you. The platform is really nice, and the plastic on this one seems a bit nicer than the Green "Buggy" version I have. I also like that this Bright Orange one has lights, that's a nice addition. The price now is a bit more than I paid for, but this is a really nice RC Truggy, and I'm glad they messed up my order, as this is such a sweet truck and sticks out compared to my other RC Bashers. I still think the shell on the Red "Buggy" version looks to be higher quality (it has seats and a little steering wheel, also I have the green version, so it does seam nicer) , but the orange is still very nice, and a bit less cleaning as it's a cleaner design. My complaint on both is the fact that they don't use standard 12mm or 7mm hubs, these seem to use a weird star pattern. So, replacing tires/wheels may be a pain. I imagine that the y can be replaced, but it's a shame for such a nice RC Car. The theme continues with the non-standard battery. It's easy enough to make an adapter. In spite of my slight complaints, I love these Bashers. They are fun and the bash around with. Very nice stable control, and nice and bounce. I have replace the shocks with WPL 1/14 sized oil shocks, and they worked very well, much softer than stock.

Excellent little "Jeep" it looks small outside of the box, but if you check the wheelbase, it's similar to the WPL FJ-40 RC Truck. This is also "nicer" than the Landrover Discovery MN99s, in that this has working doors as well as a working hood. Not sure if parts are as pletiful as the MN99 or C24, but as it is, this is an Excellent RC Crawler.
