Andrew Clark your knife seems to be the improved design so the blade cannot slip out like gerber had to do?

naitn I’ve owned four of these Gerber knives. One had a faulty lock. if you’re trying to have it fixed open yes you could do that with a simple weld or wedge glued in place. This knife actually locks the utility blade in better than any quick blade swap design, and it allows you to use more of the blades surface than any other I’ve seen.
