Christopher Finnestead I've got this same microscope and I got it for doing precise soldering on electronics and it works fantastic for that purpose. there are some hidden features on it as well for instance when you are playing back your video clips you can press up arrow and down arrow to speed up or reverse the playback. also I believe in order to achieve 1200X zoom it is accomplished by pressing up & down arrows for 2X 4X 8X digital magnification which would mean the native magnification is around 150X which seems about right by looking at it. also the magnification can be adjusted by changing the distance of the object from the lens. the ability to focus even when the object is several inches away is extremely useful when it comes to working on the object (i.e. soldering) not all digital microscopes are capable of this. and the fact that it has a built in rechargeable LiPo battery makes it completely portable. plus it has a dimmable LED array and works well even in low light. And the price they have this listed for is truly a steal of a deal. anywhere else and you will pay double of what its listed for here. I'm not sure how quickly they will ship it but you won't be disappointed, regardless, because for such a simple device it is packed with useful features: can be used as USB Webcam or Mass Storage device. rechargeable & portable, variable speed & reverse playback, large 7" viewing screen, variable focal distance, 8 different still image capture resolutions from 640×480 to 4032×3024 .jpg plus video capture at 1080p .mov, and so much more.
