aussie I wouldn't leave it on in sunlight at those temps even with heatsinks, if yours is anything like mine even looking directly into it at night it looks like an ordinary led, nothing like a thick beam visible light. I have the green version, it works well at night both indoors and out. Hope this helps you with your project but if you get one like mine you will be wasting your money. Aussie
