Gearlos you just connect an external switch in parallel (either as a pushbutton as on-while-hold or a permanent on-off). I you dont know how to connect a switch in parallel, dont mess with it.

Dont rely on the label says 300W, but try measure the device with a power meter and see if its over 600 Watt (allso You may measure with an AC ampere-meter. For 220V, the max. is I=P div U (ohm law) aka I = 600 div 220 = 2.7Ampere, and for 110V it is 600 div 110 = 5.6Ampere). Allso, You should be sure that the wires to the battery input is sufficient. To feed the inverter 12V at 300Watt, it is 300watt div 12V = 25Ampere, with according to the manual page 5 table is AWG 12 (or 2.5 square mm) which is like the thickness of a cigarette. If not - the inverter cannot get enough input power to source the 220V (or 110V) output. Yes Buddy, read the manual !
