Q: Does it always start in moon mode or does it have memory?

Jacob Surely it doesn't use next mode memory. No memory means it always starys on low

Q: Does this light really have an output of 5,000 lumens?! It seems highly unlikely that this is possible for the C8 host.

Jacob Lumens will be closer to 3000. In response to the picture stating 1300 lumens, it's the same photo from the Astrolux C8 XPL HI version.
