This is my goto VTX for fixed wing planes. I find the performance to be very good. A lot of the issues in performance can be addressed by knocking the voltage down to 10v or 9v. Then puttting an LC filter after the step-down voltage regulator. Then, use an omni directional antenna (throw away the one that comes with it) and you'll have something that has the potential of putting out a decent signal for at least a few kilometers depending on where you're flying. What I like about this unit is that it puts out a filtered 5V for your camera. What's missing is smart audio. However, this works well with an Omnibus build.T
