All it has to do is hold 1 cell, and it does it great. If I would be great if they had slots for the wires down the side of the holder, so you could mount it flush, however a work around is to solder wires to the bottom - then they are invisible and safe from damage if you make something for a friend who's a bit goofy. I included a photo of how I used this holder as part of my 18650 recovery process, I find it much safer than the magnet methods often seen on YouTube. Also, don't just buy one, they are cheap enough to buy 3 and save the 15%...
