Bought this to use for FPV with a Phantom FC40 and 2.4GHz video transmitter/receiver. Works well, and has decent image quality. Powering it using an 11.1V LiPo battery. Has buttons on the back for adjusting brightness/contrast/saturation/aspect ratio, and the OSD menu is in English. (The manual was only in Chinese though.) NOTE: The monitor won't turn on at all until it's getting a valid video signal (absolutely no life signs at all!). Picture is clear, best viewing angle seems to be to look slightly down at screen at about 15 - 30 degree angle. This has one red coax connector for power (12 volt DC) and 2 RCA jacks, white (AV1) and yellow (AV2), for video. The screen is blank until a video signal is present at either one of the video inputs. The AV2 video input has priority over AV1. There are 3 buttons on the back, the center is a "mode" selector that gives access to color, contrast, language, ratio, and brightness settings. The other 2 buttons are up/down and used to set the level of the selected mode (eg: brighter or darker), the settings mode can only be accessed when a video signal is present on either input.

The one I have works OK down to 6.0 volt, 5.95v and it starts dropping the picture, 5.90v and it stopped working. I have tested from 6.0v to 24v and there is no difference in picture quality at all. I had it running for 2 days at 6.25v without any problems. Also the screen resolution is Very good, it says it's 482x272 in BG listing but the instructions that came with it says 960x468. Comparing with a phone that is 480x320 this has a notable better picture.

Comes with power cord without any connector you have to solder one for yourself. once you open monitor back lid you can see circuit board and LCD panel securely rapped with steel plates. on screen menu operations are easy to handle with 3 buttons given backside. picture ia sharp and clear. no video lag with echine tx801. It turns black when there is absolute no signal from vtx which happened with my full hd samsung LCD tv as well.

This monitor produces a very good picture. This monitor will black screen if there is no video signal, and will not turn on. If you want to display a raster or snow effect from the receiver if there is no video signal, you can use DIY DVR Eachine, the DVR will always feed the video signal to the monitor.
