I am using both Stirling engines to educate my grandchildren. I am happy having them both. In my opinion the previous one has a greater educational value. I like the product, it looks beautiful, uses quality material, and indeed is a good value for money - I would recommend it.

Worked well right out of the box. Top and bottom are heavy (~3mm) aluminum plates that distribute the heat/cold well. Runs well from about 150 RPM to > 400 rpm. Runs for more than 1.5 hours sitting on 16 oz. insulated cup of hot water. Very good finish and very nice looking. I love the simplified magnetic connection design. It runs equally well for me in either direction. I've used it with ice only, hot water only, both ice and hot water, and a very small candle trimmed to a very short wick for a small flame about 4 inches (9 to 10 cm) below the bottom plate. Candle set-up described above and in picture runs at 350 RPM with a very low flame. Buying another for my office to sit on my coffee cup.
