Dennis Absolutely not . Xiaomi doesn't support HDMI over USB C. I have the phone and monitor, so first answer is wrong .

Dennis only if your smartphone can send out HDMI over USB. most don't except high end Samsung and Huawai.

Dennis No but you can power with an external battery. However in this case you still need a source of graphics and source may provide power.

Dennis As a multiple Xiaomi phone owner I can assure you it doesn't. Xiaomi on all but one phone doesn't send graphics over USB. My Lenovo tablet works fine however.

Dennis Absolutely not; Xiaomi doesn't support HDMI out over USB and thus doesn't work on my Xiaomi phones. Basically only high end Samsung and Huawai do this. I have a 9 that doesn't work but a Lenovo tablet that does.

Dennis it won't connect unless you have an expensive phone which features USB C to HDMI.

Dennis No; most Xiaomi phones, including this one, don't send out HDMI over USB C which is the only way it will function.

Dennis Most phones do not send HDMI out over USB C and thus don't work. A few expensive phones do but most, including Xiaomi, do not. My high end Lenovo tablet does and works but none of my phones can connect. Be careful and check if your phone sends out HDMI. If a USB to HDMI cable works from your phone to your TV it will connect to this monitor if it doesn't you are out of luck. The monitor is basically dumb but will connect fine to a mini PC for example and you can usually power both with a battery pack.

Dennis Power is 110v to 220v but you may need to put an alternative plug or adapter on the end if you don't want to charge by DC.
Dennis I don't agree; I have had 4 pairs and they all work perfectly well by having a different focus point with distance as you look down and no correction for distance (These are for reading). Obviously there is no correction for astigmatism and I have broken one frame and partially scuffed one soft plastic lens. However for reading a book or my phone they are excellent and I recommend.

Dennis Yes, I have connected by a single USB cable to an unpowered T-bao LCD monitor and the tablet provides power and HDMI signal. With a USB to HDMI cable from Amazon I have connected to a desktop monitor and to my Samsung TV. No problems but I sent the sound to a USB speaker when connected to the desktop monitor. Everything worked out perfectly.

Dennis You can even connect to an unpowered LCD monitor with a single cable for power and HDMI video. Of course powering the monitor with an external battery will lengthen your running time.

BG317155381 I agree, "email only" advertising shows $89.99 US (reg price $129.99), but click to buy and now price is $175.99 US (reg price $199.99). Something is very wrong here. A lot of the "email only" pricing is bogus.....
