As with all cheaper small cameras, they're never perfect. So also for this type of camera, the video quality is average (haven't tested sound quality or all functions yet). I can't say much about the motion detect quality as i haven't been able to try it yet. The main reason why i wanted this camera, was because of the night vision/WiFi. With many small cameras there seems to be a huge drop in fps (frames per second) when night vision is enabled. The XANES HDQ18 doesn't suffer from this, BUT my camera sample DID come with a flaw; Night vision constantly goes OFF and ON, every 3 ~ 4 seconds. I'm sad that i can't test the rest of the camera now, because (for me) the camera is of no use now.
