I was very pleased with this ring, even tho I felt a tad guilty for getting it from an obviously non-Masonic source. Laying in bed at night, it's sort of comforting to see it shining in the dark to remind me of my membership in our fraternity. The phosphorescent plastic (I assume) core glows whiter than the picture, and not bright enough to actually light anything around it. It also must absorb sunlight to glow, so after a couple days cooped up indoors, it will stop glowing to let me know I'm not
