I purchased this product based on the reviews and the price. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived here in Canada in just under 1 month. 1. Numerous reviews mentioned the requirement to wash it a couple of times before first use. I thoroughly washed and drained the bag and hose 4 times and let it sit for a couple of hours before trying it out; 2. The bag was then filled with fresh, cool water, there was still an unpleasant aftertaste, I am hoping that this will diminish with additional washing and time; 3.The on/off valve is defective. Even in the "OFFf" position there is still a rapid drip, drip, drip. This is not unacceptable. For this reason alone I only give the product 2 stars for quality ; 4. The quality of the bag itself is OK, however I noted that the cap does not remain on the screw top filler neck as the retaining ring is slightly large. The cap should snap on and remain in place until you want to snap off/pull off the cap for cleaning, it should not fall off on its own accord; 5. The hose quality was fine and the length of the hose was perfect when I put it into my backpack and used it during my ride. 6.Maybe I just had bad luck with the defective, leaking on/off valve and others have not had a problem, however I can only write a review on what I received. It is unfortunate that what I received was defective, (I had high hopes) as a result of this I would not purchase this item again.
