Nextion editor is okay but far from good: -No subroutines -No string manipulation -Very poor interface to manage bitmaps -Not so good font creation quality, no anti aliasing option -Variable naming and usage is -so-so -No calculations possible in if / while -Serial upload of 16megabyte takes forever: use a micro SD card! -Arduino library is bloated and doesn't work with softserial. Hint: make display

This is a nice unit. Easy to interface to your Microcontroller project. The screen design tool is ok and free. There is a font conversion tool so you can convert some windows fonts into usable fonts for this device. I was looking for a device that worked with a stylist instead of your finger and this unit does that nicely. I would get the enhanced version for only a couple bucks more. The enhanced version allows you to use the SD card to store information where as the standard version does not. If
