The screwdriver that I was replacing did not have a magnetic tip, so the bits kept falling out. This item is a good replacement for my old screw driver. I was able to write my name with a black Sharpie pen on the yellow part of the handle. The pen marking doesn't easily wipe off. Don't forget to take the AAA batteries out and unwrap them. The led lights (4 bulbs) works great once the plastic covering the batteries are removed. The button to turn on/off the led lights has a satisfying "click". My only concern going forward would be that the 4 bits stored in the clear plastic sockets may loosen over time and easily fall out. But for now, they fit snuggly in the clear plastic socket.
