Recommended plugs for use with RG174 when you need custom cables length or you have a home made antenna.
Remove 10mm of the sleeve plus ground shield and 2mm of the dielectric to get the correct length for this plug. Add a tiny bit of solder inside the pin and tin exposed 2mm wire. Heat up the pin WITHOUT solder on your iron and slide the wire inside the pin.
You don't need to crimp the connector, just wind some very fine copper cable around the ground shielding on the plug after inserting the pin into it and wet the surface you wound with solder to make a solid connection. Add some heat shrink and you are done.
