i take that for chainsaw protection for legs. i didnt use it yet but i think its a bit tight for legs. dont know how much protection i can get from that.

I bought the same type of material gloves, which arrived, & I was very pleased with them & decided to cover my arms as well for working on our motorhome, DIY, Gardening, etc. At my age at the slightest rub or abrasion, my arms turn red/purple or cut easily. So I have hopefully taken the correct 'safety-cum-cosmetic' remedy. They are comfortable to wear & will not inhibit use!

Works only with blades that dont have teeth. If the blade has like a saw structure it will rip it open. Smooth knifes work perfect !

I had the presence of mind to put them on before removing the broken shards of glass from a smashed window pane. A large piece dislodged above where my arm/wrist was and fell like a guillotine blade. It would have opened up the radial artery in my wrist if I hadn't been wearing them. Worth every cent.
