I got to run a few 10mm white oak dowels through this thing today and it did a fine job. I thought it might get hot but the aluminum and carbide combo mitigates that very well. I'm using a Milwaukee 18V drill and find that a higher-speed drill makes for a better dowel.

Makes a very good impression, good workmanship. The cutting edge seems reasonably sharp.

A very nice product. The packaging could be improved because the plastic case that the blade came in was smashed in transit. This didn't affect the blade which has to be screwed into the dowel maker. For a moment I was excited that I was maybe getting a spare blade but, alas, that was not the case. Seriously though; this is a very good product and worth buying. It seems well made to fine tolerances. Everything fits together well and moves smoothly when it has to move. When it has to lock down it foes so very securely.
